Rex --

Thanks for sharing. I hear you on the "complacency" realization. Brushes
with our fears, really getting up close and personal with them, can be
insanely motivational. But where to put that energy and drive...how best to
make it real? This is the question I am grappling with right now....

Thanks for sharing!

My biggest fear in life:
I can relate to what you're going through Patrick. As you know I've had some crazy bike crashes too, one of which required several surgeries to my right elbow after being hit by a car. In not so subtle ways that experience changed my life and made me a better person. What was it that someone said to Lance when he was laying in his hospital bed, 'we are the lucky ones?' My biggest fear in life is complacency. I think it's human nature to get into a comfortable daily rhythm, life rhythm. While, no doubt, this crash was a tremendous stroke of bad luck, I'm amazed that you are able to remain so positive. I think this experience is going to take you places. Thank you for including us!
