After much writing, I am please to announce that the FREE version of my endurance lifestyle guide is now ready for you: A Practical Handbook to Living the Fit Life.

Your ebook just says to stop eating white carbs (pasta, potatoes, etc.) without saying why. When I'm training I lose a TON of weight... I'm too thin, and I'm hungry all the time. Is the white carb cut just about weight loss? I need calories! Thanks.
  • Can you break down your day? There are a lot better ways to get
calories outside of the white carbs. I am big fan of fruits / fruit
salad as there's tons of good carbs and very filling. Also, how much
protein are you taking in? Nuts add up quickly as well...

  • Pat - just pre-ordered the book. I've read chunks on-line as you've posted them, but I cannot wait to see the entire opus (I'll have to download the e-book at home).

I got into triathlon as a "break" from "just" running. I'm slowly working my way into a business venture with a training partner/coach/friend, producing running & multisport events. Now, even more than ever, we both have less "disposable time" to "waste" on things which don't add to fitness, business or family (He/his wife are having their first baby; I'm just getting old.).

It's a challenge, having the "intestinal fortitude" to decide what is best for you, & say, "thanks, but I don't have time for THAT" to those persons or situations.

Keep passing along the cool hacks, tips & tricks. I'll keep sharing them with my own athletes & friends who will have the courage to listen to their own voice rather than the voice of EVERYONE around them.
  • M -

    fighting the good fight!
