Lifestyle front, take charge of your inbox and consider cultivating a “Beginner’s Mind.”
On the events side of things, join the New York Road Runner club to raise money and awareness with a virtual run for Haitithis weekend. If you are local to Boston, you have to know about Hub Multisport. Their first race sim workout is this Sunday (already)!. You’ll be glad you checked it out.
Looking at training, I came across this “Training with Power” video from Saris (watch it here). Another solid blog post from Endurance Nation about “Marathons and Triathlon Training.”
Nutritionally speaking, I continue to search for good resources. Please tweet me what you like!
An interesting post on sport-specific strength training from Alan Couzens over at Endurance Corner. I am not sure that I could ride for that long at 40 rpms, but admittedly haven’t targetted wattage goals when doing that in the past. I still say there is no shortage of value in quality work just under you FTP at whatever cadence you choose…but that’s just me.
If you are looking to spice up your swimming, if that’s your thing, check out this video, it’s part of a new resource my colleague and good friend Kevin Koskella (of TriSwimCoach fame) is putting together.
Work-wise, TriathlonAnswers.com continues to grow. 2-3 new questions a day and some really great answers…please continue to visit or at least follow @trianswers on Twitter so you can see what’s going on!
Have a great weekend!
