The best training plans in the world aren’t worth crap…if you don’t actually follow them. 6-months, 12-months, 5 years…all of it can be crap if you let it. In fact, planning further ahead only serves to increase the likelihood of crap in your future.
Picking the journey is the easy part.
Our world has no shortage of inspirational stories to emulate or ridiculous organized (paid) physical challenges to register for. Don’t pat yourself on the back for busting out your credit card and clicking submit.
Ours is a daily business.
What will you do today? What are you doing right now? What did you do today? These are all critical questions we need to be asking ourselves if we are to become what we have set our for ourselves.
Sure you can go animate a previous workout online. Go find “rivals” using cool web software. Maybe listen to a podcast of some amazing World Champions. But none of that, none, actually helps you to improve.
All of the fancy measuring tools won’t help you if you don’t get out there and crush your workouts every day. Or care for your body. Or get enough sleep. Or eat the right food.
So go ahead, pick your journey. Chart an amazing course around the world. But I only want to hear what you are up to right now.
You can tell me here. I am listening.
